Oh, Mom!

I was explaining to my mom all of my interesting homeless people encounters. This is my favorite snippet from our chat.

Me: Yeah, regardless of where I go, I always have an interesting homeless person encounter. My friend thinks it's because I look vulnerable.
Mom: I don't think it's because you're dainty or vulnerable. You just wear your heart on your shoulder and you wear it proudly. People in that desperate situation may be able to see it better.

I love that she said I wear it proudly. I do.
