Poodle or Puppy

Me: Honey, I don't know if I look completely helpless. For as long as I can remember, there were always other families adopting me.
Hubster: You don't look helpless. You're like the cute poodle. I mean puppy.
Me: Eww..why did you say poodle first? I don't want to be a poodle.
Hubster: That's why I changed it to puppy. I realized that poodles weren't cute.
