Observant

As a teacher-in-the-making, I sometimes forget that any pair of eyeballs can be on me at any given time during the day. I had a very friendly reminder today.

(During calendar time)

Me: (Sitting behind all the students on a chair and counting silently to myself.)
Mr. L-: (crawls over to me) Mrs. T---, what are you doing?
Me: I'm listening to calendar time. What do you mean?
Mr. L-: Well, you were doing this (mimics how my mouth was moving silently).
Me: Oh! I was just counting how many days we've been in school to myself. You're very observant Mr. L-.
